I work to maintain that focus through the glass selection and creating the decorative metal work.
There is a rough earthiness in the Greene's art glass that appeals to me. I work to capture that naturalness of line and handling of materials that makes their work special.
Charles Greene was very inventive in his glass designs. I think it helped that he wasn't a glass artist; it allowed him to imagine a different kind of line and subdued combinations of techniques and materials.
