Theodore Ellison Designs handcrafts leaded glass into period-inspired architectural windows and lighting, influenced by the Arts & Crafts tradition. All designs are created in house by founder Theodore Ellison. Guided by a collaborative approach, the company works directly with homeowners, architects and designers to create one-of-a-kind original designs for their custom projects. Each window is produced one at a time, with great attention to detail. In addition, a line of existing leaded glass designs is available for client consideration. These designs can be easily adapted to fit the exact scale required for a specific location. Through good design and innovative fabrication, Theodore Ellison Designs proudly offers a refreshing approach to this 800 year old art.

What makes our work unique:

We buy our glass directly from manufacturers and local distributors that import hundreds of varieties of glass from all over the country and Europe. We are constantly looking for the unusual and unique to create our own original palette.

We offer a clear glass that is handmade by craftsman with the same time proven techniques used before the advent of modern window glass. Slight distortions, occasional pits and imperfections make it the ideal choice for period influenced work.

In all of our work the needs of the site and preferences of the client determine whether we use transparent, translucent or opalescent glass.

Our approach is to tie interior elements together, keeping in mind the space as a whole.  We want our work to be in concert with other furnishings and to suit the personality of each client rather than be a statement about our abilities as glass crafts-people.
